Instructions
Head to Lavender Town on the eastern shore of the Kanto region. Find the Radio Tower on the eastern side of town, head inside and talk to the Radio Controller. He'll tell you that the power has been knocked out.
Head north to Route 10 and use the Pokemon move Surf to go down the river to the Power Plant. Talk to the owner inside, who will tell you that someone has stolen a Machine Part.
Leave the Power Plant, Surf back up the river and head west to Cerulean City. Go up to the Pokemon Gym and a Team Rocket Grunt will run away from it.
Follow the Grunt north, up to the bridge on Route 24. He'll try to battle you, but he only has a Level 39 Golbat, which you can easily beat with an Electric-type Pokemon. He'll tell you the Machine Part is hidden in the Gym.
Go back to the Pokemon Gym and find the Machine Part hidden under the inner tube at the top left of the pool. Take it back to the Power Plant to restore power.
Head back to the Radio Tower in Lavender Town where the Radio Controller will upgrade your Radio Card as a reward for restoring power to his station.
Head south on Route 12 and then west onto Route 11. At the end of the Route, you will find the Snorlax asleep in front of Diglett's Cave.
Open the Radio app on your Pokegear. Use the stylus on the bottom screen of your DS to move the channel selector up to the top of the globe, where you will find the "Poke Flute" channel.
Select the "Poke Flute" radio channel and the Snorlax will wake up and attack you. It is a powerful Normal-type Pokemon, but it is weak against Fighting-type moves. Catch it rather than knock it out, as it is the only Snorlax in the game.
Head into Diglett's Cave and move through it to the other side. Inside the cave you will only encounter Diglett and Dugtrio, which are both Ground-type Pokemon, easily defeated using Water-type attacks. You will emerge from the other side of the cave on Route 2, on the western side of the Kanto region.
