Enhanced Abilities
You can increase your character stats, but first you must get your Hotel score up to 100 percent and have your goals up to at least four stars. You must also be in good standing with "Mama Hogg" and the "Goth Chick." Check your stats on your in-room computer to get an outfit. Do this three times and each time your stats will get raised.
Wasting time can be a good thing in "The Sims 2." If you want things done faster, like building rooms, change your DS's internal clock forward 8 hours. You can also use this trick to earn fast "simoleons," the in-game currency, from the Hotel guests when they check in; set the internal clock forward to when they leave.
Feeling a little on edge? Refill your sanity meter quickly by going down to the Hotel's basement freezer. There will be a piece of meat hanging that you're able to punch. Punching it will refill your meter faster than normal.
Animal Fun
What could be more fun than cow-tipping? How about free milkshakes when you do it? Find the cow farm in town and tip over a cow. You can select the "Milk" option, and you'll receive a free milkshake instead of milk. Milkshakes can be consumed, given as a gift or sold to the Store for 2 simoleons.
This cheat will allow you to unlock "Mongoo Monkey" at the town's Casino. All you have to do is insert a Gameboy Advance "The Sims 2" into the bottom of your DS Lite before you play the DS version. This will only work with the Nintendo DS Lite handheld console.
Rodent Problems
At the town's City Hall, you are asked to build a Rat Cave, but you don't have to. If you let Tristen Legend build it, not only will it not cost you anything, but it will increase your game's progress.
Pests, like moles and worms, will chew up any wires laying around. To stop them you have to spray any endangered wires with water several times.
Alien Attack
Aliens will attack the town, but if you want more invaders you have to save your game and then set your DS's internal clock forward one minute. Start your saved game up and walk for one minute. Save your game again and then reset your system clock back to real time. Reload your saved game, and the Hotel Bellhop will call you a time traveler. You have to touch the clock or you will lose all your sanity.
You can find the Mummified Alien in the town's Desert. You'll need a metal detector. When you find the Crashed Space Ship in the Desert, use the metal detector in the area. You'll find the Mummified Alien and can sell it for 375 simoleons.
