Luso's Journal
At the beginning of the game, you are asked a few questions about your personality. These will actually change the clan privilege that you begin the game with. For example, to get the skill "AP Up 1," input answer "B," "C" and then "C" for those questions. For "Clan Up 1," answer "B, B, C." If you put in "B, A and A," you get "Evade Up 1." To get "EXP Up 1," use answers "B, C, B;" "Gil Up 1" takes "B, A, C;" "B, A, B" for "Lucky 1;" "Power Up 1" answers "B, B, B;" "Smash Up 1," "B, B, A;" and for "Speed Up 1," "B, C, A."
Espers
Also in "Final Fantasy XII," you unlock Espers throughout the game. You can find these in "Tactics A2" as well. To unlock them, complete a certain quest. For Adrammelech, for example, it's "The Moorabella Cup." To get Belias, finish "The Camoa Cup;" Chaos, "The Loar Cup;" Cúchulainn, "The Odalia Cup;" Exodus, "The Jylland Cup;" Famfrit after "The Goug Cup;" Hashmal "The Fluorgis Cup;" Mateus "The Graszton Cup;" Shemhazai "Of a Feather;" Ultima "Hunted;" Zalera, "The Last Step;" Zeromus, "The Five Kings;" and for Zodiark, do "A Lasting Peace."
Libra
In the game, you acquire a number of clan privileges; these help your team in the battle. After you've played a few levels, you may have learned the hard way that some map squares have traps on them. The Libra skill will reveal them all, and there's only one way to get it. Insert a copy of "Final Fantasy Tactics Advance" for the Gameboy Advance into the first slot on your DS or DS Lite. If you have a DSi or 3DS unit, you may have to borrow an older console.
Vaan and Penelo
In the course of this game, you run into two characters from another "Final Fantasy" entry; "Final Fantasy XII," and its sequel "Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings" both star Vaan and Penelo. In this game, you run into the two sky pirates in battle -- Luso even decides Vaan is a rival at one point. You can also recruit them after completing "The Ritual" quest. Head to Fluorgis Aerodrome, and they will join your party.
