How to Breed Gible & Geodude

"Pokemon Diamond," "Pearl" and "Platinum" players can capture Gible in Geodude in Sinnoh. Geodude is a Rock and Gible is a Dragon. Both are also Ground types since they are duel types. Pokemon can only breed with Pokemon who share the same egg group. Therefore, Gible can only mate and create eggs with Pokemon that are a part of the Monster or the Dragon egg group. Similarly, Geodude can only breed with Pokemon that are in in the Mineral egg group.

Instructions

  1. Breeding Gible

    • 1

Capture a female Gible in Wayward Cave. Buy Dusk Balls from a PokeMart and use them to capture the Gible for a massive Capture Rate of 3.5 instead of 1.0. Otherwise, use an Ultra Ball to capture the Gible.

    • 2

Obtain another Gible or any Pokemon that is in the Monster or Dragon egg group, such as Snorlax, Turtwig, Charmander and Bagon. Make sure the Pokemon you get is male so it can breed with your female Gible.

    • 3

Go to the Pokemon Daycare in Solaceon Town of the Sinnoh region. Give the female Gible and the male Pokemon to the Daycare man. Walk around and visit the man every 500 steps. You will get a Gible egg after a random number of steps.

    Breeding Geodude

    • 4

Travel to any of the following locations: Route 206, Route 207, Route 214, Oreburgh Mine, Ruin Maniac Cave or Mount Coronet. Walk in the long grass or cave until you encounter a female Geodude. Whittle the Pokemon's hitpoints to the red zone and capture it with an Ultra Ball.

    • 5

Catch a Pokemon that is a part of the Mineral egg group like Onix, Nosepass and Sudowoodo. Make sure this Pokemon is male, since you can't breed two Pokemon of the same gender.

    • 6

Fly to Solaceon Town and take the Gible and the other Pokemon out of the Daycare. Place any extra eggs into the PC. Give the female Geodude and the other Pokemon to the Daycare man. After a random number of steps, the man will have an egg for you to pick up.
