How to Get a Shadow Orb in Pokemon

Giratina, the star legendary of Pokemon Platinum, has two forms: the Origin Forme and the Altered Form. This legendary is in its Origin Forme while in the Distortion World, and it changes into its Altered Form when it leaves the Distortion World. Nintendo created a way for players to keep their Giratina in its Origin Forme: Pokemon Platinum players must have the Griseous Orb, commonly referred to as the Shadow Orb, to keep Giratina in its Origin Forme when it isn't in the Distortion World.

Instructions

- 1
  Travel to Spear Pillar to stop Team Galactic from awakening Dialga and Palkia. While you are at Spear Pillar, you will enter the Distortion World, where you will find Giratina. Bring a Pokemon that knows Surf and Strength.

  Navigate through the Distortion World by using the platforms. Near the end of the Distortion World, you will have to complete a puzzle that involves HM04 (Strength). Mesprite, Azelf and Uxie will help you finish the Strength Puzzle.

  Talk to Cyrus, and he will express his irritation since you followed him. He will challenge you to a battle. Upon his defeat, he will release you and flee. Walk a little farther, and you will find Giratina. Capture or defeat the legendary Pokemon.

  Defeat the Elite Four and the Pokemon League Champion. Return to Turnback Cave, which is located in the Spring Path. Complete the puzzle by observing the pattern of the rocks in front of each door. Leave through the door that has the odd pattern of rocks.

  Complete the puzzle, and you will find a room with a portal that leads to the Distortion World. Interact with the portal. At the end of this new part of the Distortion World, you will find a Pokeball that contains the Griseous Orb.
