How Do I Get Teddiursa on Diamond?

Teddiursa, the Little Bear Pokemon that looks like a cuddly teddy bear sucking his thumb, is one of several Pokemon you can catch after you receive the National Pokedex at the end of the main game in "Pokemon Diamond." To get Teddiursa to appear, you need the "Pokemon Emerald" Game Boy Advance cartridge in the Nintendo DS at the same time as the "Pokemon Diamond" DS cartridge. The DS has a dual slot for GBA games on the front of the device.

Instructions

  Turn off the Nintendo DS system if it is on. Insert the "Pokemon Emerald" cartridge in the GBA slot on the front of the DS. Insert the "Pokemon Diamond" cartridge in the DS game slot on the back.

  Power on the DS and start the "Pokemon Diamond" game.

  Fly to Eterna City from your current location in the game.

  Walk east from Eterna City, past the statue of the legendary Pokemon, to Route 211.

  Walk back and forth in the tall grass to meet wild Pokemon. Teddiursa appears on Route 211 eight percent of the time, morning, afternoon or night.

  Battle Teddiursa when you bump into it. Lower its health with any move except a fighting-type move or a ghost-type move. Fighting-type moves do double damage and you could knock Teddiursa out by accident. Ghost-type moves have no effect on this Pokemon.

  Throw an Ultra Ball when Teddiursa has only a few hit point left before fainting. If it bursts out of the ball, throw another and continue lobbing balls until the Pokemon stays in the ball.
