Most games are designed to run smoothly for players who use the game properly. However, some gamers try to cheat the system by using cheat codes and hacking programs. When playing "Pokemon Diamond," players who use cheating devices, like the Action Replay, often end up getting stuck with a "bad egg." A bad egg occurs when the game cannot recognize the code for the Pokemon that is supposed to be in its place. Many bad eggs do not hatch, but you can try hatching your bad egg the same way you hatch other eggs.

Add the bad egg to your party if it is not already there.

Add another Pokemon to your party that has the Flame Body or Magma Armor abilities. Magcargo is one example of a Pokemon with this ability.

Start walking around. Eggs hatch after a trainer has taken a certain number of steps. The amount of steps will be randomly between 1,000 and 10,000 steps.
