How to Get a Porygon in Pokemon SoulSilver

Porygon, the Virtual Pokemon, resembles a digital bird created from three-dimensional polygons. The only way to obtain it in "Pokemon SoulSilver" is to buy one at the Celadon City Game Corner with your prize winnings from the Voltorb Flip game. This game challenges you to find all the numbers on a grid of cards before uncovering Voltorb, the Ball Pokemon. To make it more difficult, several Voltorb hide on the board and coins accumulate by multiplication, not addition, so the more common "1" card adds nothing to your total after the first coin.

Instructions

  Start the "Pokemon SoulSilver" game. Fly to Celadon City, west of Saffron City, in the Kanto region.

  Enter the Game Corner building in the center of town.

  Talk to Mr. Game standing at the table in the center of the room. Click "Yes" when he asks if you want to play Voltorb Flip.

  Play the game by clicking cards to find numbers and earn coins while avoiding Voltorb, who'll take all the coins and force you to start again. Move to the next level if you find all the numbers before you hit a Voltorb. Higher levels award more coins per card.

  Play until you have accumulated 9,999 coins. This may take several days.

  Walk up to the Prize Exchange counter in the Game Corner building and press the "A" button to see the prizes. Select Porygon from the list of available items. Trade in 9,999 coins to complete the transaction.
