How to Beat the Trash Bot in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

Players encounter a trash bot named Junker near the end of the Nintendo DS game "Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story." Players must fight this trash monster and his trash can minions upon entering Princess Peach's Castle Garden in order to progress through the castle. Junker has a variety of special abilities which must be avoided or countered to defeat him.

Instructions

- 1
  Focus your attacks on Junker. Ignore the smaller Junker Cans since the battle will end when Junker is defeated. Junker has 1,445 health points.

  Jump over the Bob-ombs when Junker performs his "Emptying the Trash" ability. Junker will empty the Bob-ombs out of a Junker Can. Stand still and allow the fish coming from the can to jump over your head.

  Leap onto the ball of trash when Junker performs "Trash Throw." Jump over the second ball he throws. Junker will rush either Mario or Luigi after throwing the second trash ball. Jump over Junker's head when he charges.

  Attack the Junker Can Luigi gets captured in when Junker uses his "Suck and Chuck" ability. Continue attacking the Junker Can to free Luigi.

  Move out of the way of the Thwomp blocks when Junker throws a bucket on either Mario or Luigi's head with the "Thwomp" ability. Begin jumping up and down once you are safe from the Thwomp block to prevent Mario or Luigi from wandering back underneath the block.

  Continue attacking Junker and avoiding his attacks until you defeat him. You should defeat him in 10 to 12 turns if Mario and Luigi are around level 25.
