How to Get Houndoom in Pokemon SoulSilver

Houndoom is a Dark and Fire-type Pokemon introduced in the second generation "Gold," "Silver" and "Crystal" games. It is the evolved form of Houndour. Houndoom's high Special Attack and Speed stats and diverse move options, such as "Dark Pulse," "Fire Blast," "Solarbeam" and "Sucker Punch," make it a potent offensive Pokemon in competitive play. In "Pokemon HeartGold" and "Pokemon SoulSilver," Houndoom does not appear in the wild, but you can still obtain one by evolving a Houndour.

     Fly to either Celadon City or Saffron City during the game's night hours. Head east from Celadon or west from Saffron to reach Route 7.

     Walk around in the grass until you encounter a Houndour. Lower Houndour's HP into the red zone and throw Poke Balls at it until it is caught.

     Train Houndour in battle or feed it Rare Candies until it reaches level 24. The evolution screen will appear, and Houndour will evolve into Houndoom.
