How to Get Bowser Out of the Safe

After Bowser retrieves his Star Cure from his safe during the plot of "Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story" for Nintendo DS, his minions, Private Goomp, Sergeant Guy, and Corporal Paraplonk, betray him and lock him inside of it. At this point in the game, you take control of Mario and Luigi and you have to work to get Bowser free. Bowser is automatically freed from his safe after you defeat a certain boss in Princess Peach's Castle.

Instructions

  Play through the game after Bowser gets trapped in the safe until you reach the large tower in the northwestern sector of Peach's Castle. This is the area you must travel to after the boss fight against the Shroobs.

  Have Mario drink water from the leaky pipe, then walk to the right and stand in front of the fireplace. Hit Mario on the back of the head with the hammer to create a whirlwind at the top of the chimney.

  Jump up to the chimney from the platforms to the left, then spin into the whirlwind. Walk all the way to the right while staying on the elevated platform until you get to some stairs. Watch the scene, which initiates a boss fight against Junker.

  Fight Junker using your most powerful moves. He eventually summons some trash cans to fight with him, but you should ignore them unless they rush toward you. When you see the hammer sign above their heads, hit them with your hammer to send them back to the lineup.

  Attack the trash cans only if Junker puts Mario or Luigi into one of them. Keep your HP up with healing items and continue attacking Junker until he is defeated. At the end of the battle, Junker retrieves the safe and hurls it toward you. When it crashes to the floor, it breaks and frees Bowser.
