How to Defeat the Sea Pipe Statue in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

"Mario &Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story" is a role-playing game for the Nintendo DS. The Sea Pipe Statue is a boss controlled by a squid called Blooper. Blooper uses the statue to protect himself. The player has to alternate between operating Bowser fighting enemies in the outside world, and using Mario and Luigi to fight foes inside Bowser. The switching makes it vital to have a strategy in place to defeat Blooper and the Sea Pipe Statue.

Instructions

  Use the "Vacuum" move to inhale Blooper inside Bowser. Hit the "R" button in battle to pull up your options, and use "Left" and "Right" on the directional pad to scroll through to find the "Vacuum" attack.

  Fight Blooper with the Mario brothers. Hit the "A" button as Mario or "B" as Luigi right before landing a "Jump" attack to cause more damage. Hold down the "A" button with Mario or "B" with Luigi to cause damage with a hammer attack. Release the button when Mario or Luigi start to shake.

  Attack Blooper until he shoots out of Bowser and becomes briefly immobilized. As Bowser, use the "X" button to attack Blooper with a punch attack. Use "X" and "Y" right before Blooper strikes to counter his attacks..

  Pull up the options menu and scroll to the items menu to use mushrooms and drumsticks to keep your hit points up. If you miss a counter, a singer attack from Blooper can eliminate half of your hit points.

  Repeat these steps. Inhale and attack until Blooper is defeated.
