Start your first Farm Island. You will receive a Farm Island Card after the tournament. You will be able to turn this card into a Farm Island by talking to Veemon in the shopping center in Shine Plaza. The Farm Island can be accessed through your DigiFarm PC in Tamer Home.
Set up your first farm by purchasing items and moving Digimon to the farm. Purchase terrain boards and background music boards from Otamamon in the back of the Shine Plaza shopping center. These give species experience points to any Digimon on the island. The experience given depends on the terrain or music set. Accessories called Farm Goods give the Digimon food or status points and can also be purchased from various Digimon. Place Digimon on the farm by using the Digimon List option in the DigiFarm PC and selecting "Move" in the menu when a Digimon is selected.
Speak with Otamamon again to improve your farms. Otamamon will allow you to purchase upgrades to your farm after your farm is set up. DPU is measured in gigahertz (GHz) and allows you to place more Digimon on the farm. Each Digimon, regardless of level or status, is 1 GHz. Memory lets you place more accessories and is measured in gigabites (G). Each level of upgrading must be purchased separately; you cannot skip from the Basic Farm directly to maximum memory and DPU. It costs 19000 bits, the currency in the game, to purchase all levels to maximum memory and 19500 bits to purchase up to the maximum DPU.
Buy a new Basic Farm from Otamamon for 24000 bits. Repeat the process to upgrade the farm. You can purchase two more Basic Farms for a total of four Farm Islands. Purchasing and upgrading all four farms will cost 226,000 bits, not including any accessories. You will have a total of 32 G of memory and 8 GHz of DPU per farm, resulting in the ability to raise 32 Digimon outside of the six in your party.
