How to Get to Bowser's Castle From Dimble Wood

Dimble Wood is easily the largest area in "Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story." It is a dense, labyrinthine forest full of enemies, puzzles and different areas to explore. You must travel through Dimble Wood to get back to Bowser's Castle after getting through the Pump Works and Fire Pipe and defeating Scutlet and Broggy. Dimble Wood is expansive, but there is a fairly direct path from the entrance to Bowser's Castle.

Instructions

    • 1

Burn down the trees in the starting area and proceed along the linear path until you reach a stone picture of a Wiggler. Punch the Wiggler's head to make the body segments light up and pay attention to the pattern. Head to the right to find a giant stone statue of a Wiggler. Punch the segments using the pattern on the stone picture: first, third, second and fourth. This causes the statue to charge forward.

    • 2

Follow the Wiggler statue into the field where the Wiggler picture was and go through the path the statue opens. Head north and speak with Broque Monsieur, then head north again one screen. Head west to find a path made of brick blocks. Punch your way through the blocks to walk down the path to the left, then go down the ramp onto the next screen.

    • 3

Burn down the trees and go through the southwestern exit to the next screen. Walk up the grassy ramp to find a catapult. Breathe fire on it and walk onto it to be launched to the east. Proceed north to find a save point. Save your game and continue north to get to the next area.

    • 4

Speak with the caged Goombas and follow the northern path to find a vertical Wiggler statue. Interact with it to initiate a mini-game with Mario and Luigi. Follow the on-screen instructions to help Bowser lift the statue and turn it into a bridge. Walk across the bridge and head south to the caged Goombas. Punch the cage until it breaks to free them.

    • 5

Backtrack across the Wiggler bridge and head north up the brick walkway. Burn down the trees and save your game. Keep walking north until you find some Koopa troops standing by a large cannon. Speak with them and then head east. Go south to find another Wiggler picture. Punch the head and make a note of the pattern of the body segments.

    • 6

Keep heading east to find the Wiggler statue and punch the body segments using the same sequence as the picture: fourth, first, third and second. Follow the statue and go up the bridge it reveals. Head east. Continue eastward until you find a real Wiggler tending crops. Speak with it then head through the log. Save your game and proceed through the next log.

    • 7

Interact with the giant carrot to initiate another mini-game. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the task. Speak with the Wiggler to initiate another mini-game wherein you must eat the giant carrot. Save your game, then fight the Wiggler.

    • 8

Walk back toward the cannon until you are interrupted by the cut scene. Fight Durmite with Mario and Luigi. Head to the right after the boss battle to find Toadbert. Punch your way through the pillars to get back to the cannon. Speak with the troops to initiate a cut scene. You will be at Bowser's Castle when the scene is over.
