How to Talk to the Tree Man in The Spiderwick Chronicles for the DS

"The Spiderwick Chronicles" is an adventure game developed for the Nintendo DS in which you can step into the shoes of the young children who inhabit the Spiderwick estate. One of the available quests in the game is to find and befriend a Griffin, but to do so, you must interact with one of the Cypress Tree Folk. While this in itself is not complicated, knowing where to find the Cypress Tree Folk may cause problems.

Instructions

- 1
  Travel to the main Forest Road, and walk past the two signs that point to the Quarry. You will find a small dirt road that branches to the right.

  Travel down the dirt road. You will find a small cave leading into the Deep Woods.

  Walk through the cave, then keep walking down the path on the other side. Enter the swamp, which appears after a short distance, on your left.

  Jump into the swamp and crawl through the log to reach the platform in the middle of the swamp. You can also jump across platforms on the surface of the swamp to get to the platform. The platform contains a tree with the Cypress Tree folk sitting inside.

  Select the Cypress Tree Folk with your DS stylus pen. You will interact with one of the Tree Folk, and he will teleport you to the Griffin.
