How to Get Another Master Ball in Pokemon SoulSilver

There are more than a dozen different poke balls in the Pokemon mythology, each with its own special abilities: Great Balls, Safari Balls, Love Balls, Lure Balls, Fast Balls, Premier Balls, Luxury Balls and arguably the ultimate of all poke balls, Master Balls. While other poke balls may allow players to catch Pokemon in specific areas or Pokemon of specific types, the Master Ball allows the capture of any wild Pokemon whatsoever without even the need to weaken it in battle first.

  Earn the Rising Badge. There are four ways to obtain Master Balls in Pokemon SoulSilver. Most players only know about the primary method, which happens during the normal course of the game. After you defeat Clair, the eighth gym leader in Johto, she will grant you the Rising Badge. Exit the Dragon's Den and Professor Elm will call to congratulate you. He'll invite you to his lab and give you a Master Ball as a gift.

  Play the lottery. For an additional Master Ball, you will have to rely on a measure of luck. In Johto, head to the Golden Rod Radio Tower. The Radio Tower hosts a five-number lottery drawing.   Trade with another player. Patience comes into play with the third method for securing Master Balls in Pokemon SoulSilver. In Johto, travel to the Golden Rod Radio Tower and head west. You will see the Global Trade Center. Via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, connect with other players interested in trading. Players have been willing to trade Master Balls for rare Pokemon that may only be available in Pokemon SoulSilver.

  Use an Action Replay. The final method for acquiring a Master Ball employs the popular game cheating device, the Action Replay. Insert the Action Replay cartridge and enter the code below. Remove the Action Replay and insert the Pokemon SoulSilver game cartridge. Press the "L" and "R" buttons to activate the code. 999 Master Balls will appear in your inventory. These Master Balls will function exactly like Master Balls obtained through regular means. The Action Replay code is:
