How to Get the Ticket to Lugia & Ho-Oh

The legendary Pokemon Lugia, a psychic and flying-type Pokemon known to dwell in a watery trench, and Ho-Oh, a legendary fire and flying type, can be found in the same location if the player has the "Mystic Ticket" to get there in "FireRed," "LeafGreen" or "Emerald." You should prepare a strong Pokemon party to battle Lugia and Ho-Oh. Both Pokemon appear at Level 70 when encountered. Your party should consist of varied Pokemon types, and at least a few should be above Level 70.

Instructions

  Attend an official Nintendo Pokemon event to acquire the item "Mystic Ticket." You cannot acquire the "Mystic Ticket" through any other means besides attending an official Nintendo event. Visit the official Pokemon website or the Serebii event database to see upcoming events (See References). You can also obtain a copy of "FireRed," "LeafGreen" or "Emerald" from another player who already has the "Mystic Ticket."

  Take the ferry to travel to Navel Rock, the home of Ho-Oh and Lugia. Enter the cave there. After you pass the first staircase, you reach a dead-end. You can only go to the left or to the right. Go to the left and continue until you reach Ho-Oh. Approach Ho-Oh to initiate battle.

  Use a water, ground or rock-type Pokemon against Ho-Oh. Weaken it in battle and capture it. Return to the staircase described in Step 2. Go to the right and continue until you reach Lugia.

  Use a bug, ghost or dark-type Pokemon in battle against Lugia. Attack it until it is weakened, using healing items to restore your own party's health as necessary. Capture Lugia and leave Navel Rock. Take both captured Pokemon to a Pokemon center for healing.
