How to Calculate Pokemon's Happiness

"Pokemon Black" and "Pokemon White" were released for the Nintendo DS in 2011. In addition to your Pokemon's other statistics, like strength or vitality, there is a hidden statistic called happiness, which calculates how happy your Pokemon is. For many Pokemon, this statistic is not used for anything. However, for a handful of Pokemon, like Woobat or Swadloon, happiness is used to determine when that Pokemon evolves. To calculate a Pokemon's happiness level, you must take it to the Happiness Checker.

     Travel to Nacrene City, located to the west of Route 3.

     Enter the house to the right of the Pokemon Center. The Pokemon Center is identifiable by the red roof with the Pokemon ball located on it.

     Place the Pokemon whose happiness you wish to check in the first Pokemon slot of your Pokemon lineup.

     Speak to the woman inside the house to learn how happy your Pokemon is.
