How to Evolve Every Pokemon

The variety of ways Pokemon evolve into more powerful creatures in the "Pokemon" series can be staggering for new Pokemon trainers aiming to catch them all. While some of the 649 Pokemon have no evolutionary branches, most of these powerful beasts permanently transform into another Pokemon after certain prerequisites have been met. Some Pokemon, such as Nidoking, Magnezone and Lickilicky, have very unusual methods of evolving. Pokemon are unique creatures and each has their own special way of evolving in the "Pokemon" games.

Instructions

  Level up a Pokemon and it may evolve upon reaching a specific level. For example, Lileep will evolve into Cradily upon reaching level 40 and Kricketot will evolve into Kricketune at level ten. A few Pokemon need to level up during a certain time of day or while holding a specific item. Gligar will only evolve into Gliscor when leveled up during the nighttime hours while it is holding a "Razor Fang."

  Expose Pokemon to certain elemental stones to evolve them. A Sun Stone will make Cottonee evolve into Whimsicott and Petilil evolve into Liligant in "Pokemon Black" and "Pokemon White."

  Trade a Pokemon to another game in the series and it might evolve under specific conditions. Trading a Haunter to another "Pokemon" title will force it to evolve it into Gengar upon arrival. Some Pokemon must hold specific items before being traded, such as making an Onix hold a "Metal Coat" before trade, evolving it into a Steelix.

  Teach a Pokemon a specific move and then raise its level to evolve some creatures. Lickitung will only evolve into Lickilicky by learning the attack "Rollout" and then leveling up, and Piloswine will evolve into Mamoswine after learning "Ancient Power."

  Level up a Pokemon in a certain area. If a Magneton is leveled up on Mt. Coronet, it will evolve into Magnezone, while a Nosepass will evolve into Probopass if leveled up in the same area.

  Raise a Pokemon's happiness level and level it up to evolve some monsters. Using expensive items, winning Pokemon battles and long walks with Pokemon will raise their happiness levels. Budew, Chingling and Togepi evolve into their next forms using this evolutionary method.
