How to Get Digimon in Digimon Dawn

"Digimon World: Dawn" for the Nintendo DS allows players to create, train, evolve and breed digital creatures known as Digimon. Players engage in a storyline based on the rivalry between the Light Fang and Night Crow Tamers. To explore dungeons and battle in the DigiColiseum, players are able to build a party of three active Digimon, with three more in reserve, as well as maintain a farm that can hold multiple additional Digimon. New Digimon can be found through two methods: Digiconverting scan data and DigimonMatching through the DS Wi-Fi.

Instructions

Digiconverting

  Explore any dungeon and wander until you encounter a wild Digimon. At the beginning of the battle you will automatically scan each of the wild Digimon on the battlefield.

  Continue to battle wild Digimon in random dungeon encounters until you have obtained 100-percent scan data.

  Return to your home and access the Digilab PC. The Digilab PC is indicated by a yellow floormat.

  Select "Digiconvert" from the Digilab PC menu to access your scan data. A list of every Digimon you have encountered and the percentage of its scan data will be displayed. You can recreate any Digimon in this list with at least a 100-percent scan.
DigimonMatching

  Enter the Digicoliseum and speak to the Kudamon behind the counter in the main lobby.

  Link to another Nintendo DS with Digimon Dawn or Dusk by selecting "Wireless Communication" from the menu. If you do not have another DS to link with, you can use the Nintendo WFC option by configuring your DS to communicate over your wireless router from the game's main menu.

  Select "DigimonMatching" from the menu. If you are using the Nintendo WFC you have the option of communicating with friends over the internet or doing a random match.

  Save your game progress when prompted and access the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection. The game will find another player seeking a match and download his data, allowing you to visit his Digimon Island. Select one of your partner's Digimon to pair with one of yours. An egg will be created and automatically deposited into your DigiBank.

  Access the Farm Island PC in your home and move the egg to your farm. Visit the Island and highlight the egg to view the hatching conditions. Hatch the egg by fulfilling the conditions listed and you will receive a new Digimon.
