Catch Chansey
Fly or ride the bicycle along Routes 17 and 18 to Fuchsia City, which is to the south of Celadon City.
Walk east from the city to Route 15, which runs into Route 14. Route 14 leads directly to Route 13.
Walk in the grassy areas along the sides of the road on Route 13, Route 14 or Route 15. You will bump into several wild Pokemon as you move around. Chansey appears one percent of the time.
Continue walking in the grassy areas until you find Chansey. The more common Pokemon in this area, Nidorino and Nidorina, appear 30 percent of the time, so you are more likely to meet them first.
Battle Chansey with any move other than a Fighting-type move, which does double damage, or a Ghost-type move, which does nothing. Lower Chansey's health slowly to avoid knocking it out. If you knock Chansey out, you will lose your chance to catch it.
Throw Ultra Balls at Chansey when its hit point meter shows red, which means its health is very low. Keep throwing balls until Chansey stays in one of them.
Check for a Lucky Egg
Return to Fuschia City and visit the Pokemon Center.
Boot up the Pokemon Center computer to view Chansey in your collection of caught Pokemon.
Click the "Summary" button to see if Chansey is holding an item and if the item is the Lucky Egg.
Catch another Chansey if the one you caught is not holding the Lucky Egg. Continue to search for and catch Chansey until you get one holding the Lucky Egg.
Click the "Item" command and then the "Take" command while viewing Chansey in the Pokemon Center computer to retrieve the Lucky Egg. The Lucky Egg will go into the Items pocket in your inventory. From there, you can give it to the first Pokemon in your travel party to use it.
