Visit the official Pokemon website regularly for information for the next Deoxys give-away event. The alien powerhouse is not obtainable in any "Pokemon" game without the help of Nintendo. Deoxyx events either give the you an item that provides an opportunity to capture Deoxys, or give you the monster itself.
Climb the Tin Tower in "Pokemon Gold" with the Rainbow Feather after earning all eight Pokemon Gym Badges and defeating the Kimono Girls to meet Ho-Oh. Defeating the Kimono Girls in battle rewards you with the Clear Bell, a needed item to encounter Ho-Oh in "Pokemon HeartGold." Ho-Oh is a powerful Fire and Flying beast that is difficult to capture in a PokeBall. Use a variety of tactics to capture Ho-Oh, such as giving it the "sleep" or "paralysis" status effects to make it easier to capture. In "Pokemon SoulSilver," you can meet Ho-Oh in the Tin Tower after defeating the Elite Four and obtaining the Rainbow Feather item from Pewter City.
Enter the third basement level of the Whirl Islands with the Tidal Bell and Silver Wing items in "Pokemon SoulSilver" to confront Lugia. Lugia is a Psychic- and Flying-type Pokemon that is as hard to capture in a PokeBall as its counterpart, Ho-Oh. Accessing Lugia is similar to Ho-Oh's "Pokemon HeartGold" requirements, as you must defeat all eight Gym Leaders and Kimono Girls to win the Tidal Bell in "Pokemon SoulSilver" before Lugia appears. In "Pokemon HeartGold," you must also beat the Elite Four and retrieve the Silver Wing item from Pewter City to come upon Lugia.
