How to Get Gold in Rainbow Cup on Mario Hoops 3-on-3

"Mario Hoops 3-on-3" is a basketball game for the Nintendo DS released in 2006. In the game, you control a team of players made up of iconic Nintendo characters including the titular Mario, Luigi and Wario. Each time you get a basket, you are rewarded points depending on where you are on the court. The Rainbow Cup tournament is the final tourney in the game and sees you playing four rounds of basketball. To achieve a gold, you must score over 200 points in each round.

     Pick up the coins that can be triggered by running over the the question mark pads on the court; each of these coins add an additional point to your score when you get a hoop.

     Shoot from outside the three-point line to get 30 points.

   • 3

     Throw from inside the three-point line to get 20 points.

   • 4

     Activate your character's special shot move and you will score 40 points if you score using it.

   • 5

     Collect coins and shoot from as far away from the basket as you can manage.
