Stock up on seeds and healing items before going into battle against Dialga. Although Dialga has high resistances to most elemental attacks, he is highly susceptible to most negative statuses. Bring X-Eye Seeds, Sleep Seeds and Stun Seeds. You should also have a few Reviver Seeds in case any of your Pokemon get knocked out during battle.
Bring Pokemon that have effective attacks against Dialga. As a Dragon and Steel type Pokemon, Dialga has very few weaknesses. Bring Pokemon with Fighting and Ground type moves as these cause double damage. Fire, Ice and Dragon type Pokemon are also effective against Dialga. It is resistant to all other types and Poison type Pokemon have no effect on it at all.
Cast a negative status on Dialga as soon as you can. Sleep and Paralysis work very well because they put him out of commission for a few turns. Once Dialga is asleep or paralyzed, start attacking as much as you can. Throw more seeds at him if he starts moving around again. X-Eye Seeds are also effective because they cast the cross-eye status, which lowers the accuracy of Dialga's attacks.
Keep your Pokemon's HP up using healing items. If a Pokemon gets knocked out, use a Reviver Seed on it immediately. Be wary of Dialga's attacks -- you can usually tell when he is charging up for a big attack because he starts to shake. The attack to watch out for is Roar of Time. This attack does major damage but it will not kill a fully healed Pokemon unless it is a critical hit.
Heal as soon as Dialga casts Roar of Time. It takes about three turns for Dialga to be able to do anything after using this attack, so take the opportunity to heal or revive, then start attacking him relentlessly. Keep up this attack pattern until Dialga is defeated.
