How to Get Oranges in Your Town in Animal Crossing: Wild World

Every town in "Animal Crossing: Wild World" has a native fruit that grows on the trees, such as cherries, pears and oranges. Since only one fruit is native to your town, all other fruits are considered foreign and are more valuable when sold for bells at Tom Nook's store. If your town already has oranges growing on the trees, the oranges will sell for 100 bells each. However, if orange trees are not native to your town, the fruit earns you 500 bells for each one you sell.

Instructions

    • 1

Visit a friend's town where oranges grow via wi-fi connection. You must trade friend codes with your friend to visit his town. Talk to Copper at the town gate to visit your friend's town and shake an orange tree to obtain oranges.

    • 2

Write letters to animals that live in your town if you cannot visit a friend's town via wi-fi. The letter should include the word "fruit" in some way and should include a piece of native fruit. The animal will respond a few days later and may send an orange with his reply.

    • 3

Dig a hole in the ground with the shovel and bury an orange to start growing an orange tree. If successful, the orange tree will grow to full size in a few days and sprout three oranges.

    • 4

Shake the orange tree to collect the oranges to sell or cultivate additional orange trees. The oranges will automatically replenish themselves every few days.
