How Do I Get the Manaphy Egg From the Man in Sunyshore or Jubilife City in Pokemon Diamond?

While the Pokemon Manaphy can't be earned in "Diamond" through conventional capturing methods, players who also own "Pokemon Ranger" can acquire Manaphy in "Diamond." A water-type Pokemon, the "Diamond" Pokedex describes Manaphy as a creature that will swim far to return to its birthplace on the seafloor. Manaphy is weakest against grass- and electric-type Pokemon and strongest against steel-, water-, fire- and ice-type Pokemon.

Instructions

  Defeat the Go-Rock Squad in "Pokemon Ranger" and hold down the R, X and L buttons simultaneously. Enter "P8M2-9D6F-43H7" into the password field to earn the Ranger Net mission, "Rescue the Egg."

  Select the "Rescue the Egg" mission. The adventure starts in Lyra Forest. Capture the Politoed beneath the tree nearby. Use its field ability to move the Gravelers blocking your way. Move toward the entrance of Krokka Tunnel, situated to the east of Lyra Forest.

  Battle any Team Go-Go members you encounter along the way. Capture the Swellow beneath the tree outside Krokka Tunnel. Use Swellow's gust ability to reveal Parasect. Another Team Go-Go member will appear to fight you.

  Head in the direction from which you originally came in Lyra Forest, passing the area where you captured Swellow. Defeat Team Go-Go members you encounter along the way. Move south until your path is blocked by trees. Use a Pokemon's "cut" ability to remove the trees. Enter this area to face and defeat the final Team Go-Go member.

  Re-enter Krokka Tunnel and return to the location where you discovered Parasect. A character there will return you to Professor Shinbara, ending the "Rescue the Egg" mission.

  Enlist a friend's assistance. Insert your copy of "Diamond" into his Nintendo DS. Allow the friend to access the main menu. From the Ranger Net menu in "Ranger," select the option to transfer the Manaphy egg to "Diamond." Wait for both Nintendo DS systems to connect.

  Follow the step-by-step instructions on "Ranger" to transfer the Manaphy egg to "Diamond." Once the transfer completes, travel to the PokeMart in Jubilife City, Sunyshore City or the PokeMart of any city located in the Sinnoh region in "Diamond." Speak to the man in the store to acquire the Manaphy egg. Save your game.
