How to Catch the Pokemon Thief on Pokemon HeartGold

The Pokémon games are mostly known for the massive number of pocket monsters you can collect and trade as you play. You must also participate in Gym Battles that pit you against other Pokémon trainers and complete side quests that gain you items while you search for these exotic creatures. One such quest in "Pokémon HeartGold" has you chasing a thief at the Power Plant. This criminal can be troublesome, but is not too difficult to apprehend.

Instructions

- 1
  Head down Route 9 to Cerulean City. Keep on a westward path to reach the city.

  Find a watery conduit on the far eastern edge of Route 9. Use a Pokemon with the Surf ability to traverse the water path southward. Make your way to the Power Plant, where you will discover that an essential part has been stolen.
- 3
  Head back to Cerulean City. Go to the Gym and enter. A team Rocket thug will bump into you. Chase after the thug outside the Gym.
- 4
  Go north after leaving the Gym and head toward a Nugget Bridge. You will find the thug there and battle him. You will learn he is the thief and where to find the stolen item.
