How to Transfer From Sapphire to Soul Silver

Pokemon enthusiasts often want to take their beloved Pokemon from one game to the next. There are a few ways to do this, depending on the particulars of the game transfer. Transferring a Pokemon from the GameBoy Advance game "Pokemon Sapphire" to the DS game "Pokemon SoulSilver" will require an original DS or DS lite that has slots for both types of cartridges, as the newer DSi doesn't have a slot for the GameBoy Advance cartridges.

  Defeat the Elite 4 in Fuschia City (sixth gym in the Kanto region) to obtain the National Pokedex and open the Pal Park.

  Insert the Game Boy Advance Pokemon Sapphire cartridge in the GBA slot on the DS.

  Turn off the game system. Turn it back on, making sure that SoulSilver is in Slot 1 and Sapphire is in Slot 2.

  Scroll down the screen to the "Migrate" option.

  Select the Pokemon you want to transfer and click "Migrate."

  Start the SoulSilver game and enter the PalPark. There you will receive special Pokeballs to catch the migrated Pokemon --- they catch 100 percent of the time.
