How to Get Through Seafoam Island on Leaf Green

The Seafoam Islands in "Pokemon: LeafGreen" for the Nintendo DS look deceptively simple when you first arrive. There are only a few small islands, and they look like they should be a snap to navigate through. Unfortunately, those islands are quite literally just the tip of the iceberg. Beneath the Seafoam Islands lies a labyrinthine maze of tunnels and passageways. If you wish to catch an Articuno, a rare Pokemon that only resides in the Islands, you will have to make your way through the maze.

Pokemon with the "Surf" and "Strength" skills.

Instructions

- 1
  Turn right as soon as you enter the cavern and push the boulder you find into the hole to the north. Turn around and head to the left, then climb the stairs onto the ledge.

  Move all the way right -- ignore the ladder when you see it -- and push the second boulder two tiles to the right and one tile to the north into the hole. Continue north and climb the ladder you find here.

  Push the boulder two spaces to the left into yet another hole, then climb back up the ladder and return to the first ladder you bypassed in the previous step. Climb this ladder, then head to the right onto the nearby ledge. Grab the Revive potion, then go north and push the boulder you find into still another hole. `

  Return to the ladder that brought you to this floor, then head north past it to a different ladder. Climb down the second ladder and turn right to find the boulder and a hole. Push the boulder into the hole, then go back up and back to the ledge where the Revive potion was. Climb down the ladder here and turn right.

  Get the "Big Pearl" item here, then climb the ladder to the right. Get the Water Stone here, then go back down the ladder and walk all the way to the left. Go down the ladder, walk south and right until you reach the boulder puzzle.

  Walk to the two boulders sitting side by side. Push the right boulder up two steps, then push the other one one step to the south and one step to the west. Walk to the lone boulder near the hole on the right side and push it all the way to the left. Then push the nearest boulder to your new position all the way to the left into the hole.

  Go back to the boulder that used to be on the right, and push it two spaces west and one south into the hole. Return to the ladder that brought you to this floor and go past it, then climb down the ladder to the north.

  Move south to get an Ultra Ball, then climb back up the ladder and head right. Climb the ladder near the water, then climb the ladder right next to that one. Go south and push one last boulder into a hole, then fall through that same hole yourself.

  Surf to the west, then walk south to where the boulder puzzle used to be. Fall into one of the holes, then head straight north to finally find Articuno.
