How to Find Mesprit With the Poketch in Platinum

Mesprit is a Legendary Pokemon that roams around the Sinnoh region in the Nintendo DS video-game "Pokemon Platinum." To track down and catch Mesprit, you need a certain application for your Poketch, the gadget that is displayed on the bottom screen of the DS. The application you need is the Marking Map, which shows the location of Mesprit and the other roaming Legendary Pokemon, Cresselia, on a map of Sinnoh. You get the Marking Map application from the president of the Poketch company after completing the first three Pokemon Gyms in the game.

Instructions

Go to Oreburgh City and defeat the Gym leader there, Roark. All of his Pokemon are Rock and Ground types, which are weak against Water-type Pokemon. He has a Level 12 Geodude, a Level 12 Onix, and a Level 14 Cranidos. Roark will give you the Coal Badge for beating him.

Move on to Eterna City and defeat Gardenia, the Eterna Gym leader. All of her Pokemon are Grass-type, which you can beat easily with a Fire or Flying-type Pokemon. She has a Level 20 Turtwig, a Level 20 Cherrim, and a Level 22 Roserade. Gardenia will give you the Forest badge for beating her.

You can take them down with a Normal or Fighting-type Pokemon, too. She has a Level 24 Duskull, a Level 24 Haunter and a level 26 Mismagius. When the battle is over, Fantina will reward you with the Relic Badge.
