How to Evolve to Mareep in Pokemon

Mareep is a good-natured, electric-type wool Pokemon that levels up easily in the "Pokemon" series of games. Mareep and its evolved forms first appeared in "Pokemon Gold" and "Pokemon Silver" on the original Game Boy hand-held system. A Mareep's woolly coat grows in size as it collects electricity. As Mareep evolves into Flaaffy and then into Ampharos, it loses its fluffy wool and gains a boost in electrical power.

  Use Mareep in many Pokemon battles to give it a large amount of experience points when it wins. Mareep grows a single experience level after it cumulates a certain number of experience points. Every time Mareep levels up, the electric sheep's power, speed, defense and other stats improve.

  Raise Mareep to level 15 and it will evolve into Flaaffy. Flaaffy needs less wool to pull power from static electricity than Mareep does.

  Win enough experience points with Flaaffy to boost it to level 30 and it will evolve into Ampharos. This final form of Mareep uses its tail as a beacon to help lost people. Ampharos is a strong creature that learns attacks such as "Thunder," "Power Gem" and "Cotton Guard."
