How to Find a Murkrow in Pokemon Diamond

Murkrow is a Dark and Flying-type Pokemon introduced in the second generation of "Pokemon" games. While unimpressive on its own, Murkrow becomes a capable battler upon evolving into Honchkrow, sacrificing Speed for enormous boosts in HP, Attack and Special Attack. Honchkrow also has a large and varied movepool; it is able to learn attacks such as Nasty Plot, Roost, Sucker Punch and Heat Wave. In "Pokemon Diamond," players can find Murkrow only at night.

  Open the Poketch and switch to its clock. Make sure the time is after 6pm and the sky is dark in the game. Buy Poke Balls at the Poke Mart until you have at least five in your bag.

  Enter the Eterna Forest by heading west from Eterna City through Route 205, or enter the Lost Tower by heading south from Solaceon Town. Roam around in the grass or the Tower floors until you encounter a Murkrow. The encounter rate for Murkrow is 20 percent, so it may take several attempts to spot one.

  Weaken Murkrow in battle and afflict it with either Sleep or Paralysis. Throw Poke Balls at Murkrow until you catch it.
