How to Battle Darkrai in Diamond

"Darkrai" is a legendary one-of-a-kinda Pokemon in the "Pokemon Diamond" game for the Nintendo DS. Most players can go through the entire game without catching Darkrai because it does not appear in the wild and will never show up during the normal game. The only way to catch it is to obtain a diary that reveals its location and the only way to obtain the diary is to get the "Membership Card" item at special Nintendo-sanctioned Pokemon events in the real world.

Instructions

  Obtain the "Membership Card" at a local Pokemon event and travel to Canalave City.

  Enter the Motel. The door was locked previously, but now that you have the Membership Card you may enter freely.

  Speak to the attendant and sleep in the Motel overnight. You will have a dream about Darkrai.

  Read the diary that was left by the Legendary Pokemon to discern where he is located.
- 5
  Exit the motel and find the sailor at the far southern end of the city. Speak to him and he will take you to Darkrai's island. Walk north from where you land on the island to find and enter into battle with Darkrai.
