How to Catch a Krabby in Pokemon SoulSilver

Krabby is a Water-type Pokemon that eventually evolves into the more powerful Kingler. Krabby comes equipped with the Hyper Cutter and Shell Armor abilities, but can also learn a wide range of Water-type attacks such as BubbleBeam, Brine and Crabhammer. Krabby is a common Pokemon and will not put up too much of a fight once he has been found.

Instructions

  Put an Electric- or Grass-type Pokemon at the head of your party. Water-type creatures like Krabby are weak to the abilities of Grass- or Electric-type Pokemon.

  Explore the beaches of Whirl Islands, Cliff Cave and Seafoam Island. Krabby can also be found on Routes 20, 34, 40 and 19, as well as in Union Cave and Cianwood City.

  Wait until you are attacked by a Krabby in one of these game locations, then unload on him with your Grass- or Electric-type Pokemon until he has very low health.
- 4
  Toss a Poke Ball at Krabby to capture him and add him to your collection.
