How to Get a Magnite Train Pass

You will first encounter the Magnet Train in "Pokemon SoulSilver" while passing through Saffron City on your way to the Saffron Gym. Unfortunately, you will be unable to use the train until you get the Pass from the non-player character "Copycat." And this cannot be done until later in the game. Once you defeat Misty in the Cerulean Gym, however, you will be free to collect the pass.

Instructions

  Travel to Saffron and enter the Copycat's house. This is located in the northern part of the town, next to the Silph Co. building. Enter the house, go up the stairs and talk to the Copycat. She will tell you she has lost her Clefairy doll, and will trade you a Magnet Train Pass if you return it to her.

  Leave Saffron and travel to Vermillion City.

  Enter the Pokemon Fan Club building and talk to the fat man near the table. He will give you a "lost item" -- that just happens to be a Clefairy doll -- and asks you to return it to its owner.

  Return to the Copycat with the doll in your possession and talk to her. She will give you the Pass, allowing you to ride the Magnet Train to Goldenrod.
