How to Catch a Wailmer on Pokemon

Wailmer is a water-type Pokemon first introduced in "Pokemon Ruby" and "Pokemon Sapphire," but can also be found in "Pokemon Black" and "Pokemon White." In order to capture Wailmer, you will need a Pokemon that knows "Surf" and you will need to travel to either Undella Town or Undella Bay. Wailmer is weak to electric- and grass-type attacks, so consider using a Pokemon of that type in order to have an easier time weakening it. Wailmer evolves into Wailord at level 40, the largest Pokemon in the games.

Instructions

    • 1

Travel to Undella Town or Undella Bay. The quickest way -- immediate transport -- is to use a Pokemon that knows "Fly."

    • 2

Walk around Undella Town or Undella Bay until you see a "shaking spot" in the water. These are uncommon, but you should not have to travel long before seeing one.

    • 3

Travel into the water using the Pokemon that knows "Surf." The "shaking spot" will disappear if you get attacked by another Pokemon, so consider using a "Repel" to protect yourself from unwanted encounters. With "Repel," you will still be able to encounter Wailmer.

    • 4

Touch the "shaking spot" to begin the battle. Use electric- or grass-type Pokemon to weaken Wailmer, but do not kill it. Once Wailmer's health is in the red, throw a Pokeball to capture it.
