How to Use Action Replay on the DSi for Mario Kart

Insert your "Mario Kart" cartridge into the empty slot in your Action Replay device and insert the Action Replay device into your DS. There is only one way your Action Replay device will fit.

Turn the power switch on your DS to "On" and wait for the Action Replay menu to load. After the main menu screen loads, select the "Codes" option and press the "A" button. Your DSi should automatically detect "Mario Kart," but if it does not it will notify you that the game is unknown. If this is the case, select the "Add New Game" option on the "Game List" screen and use the onscreen keypad to enter in "Mario Kart" and press the "Start" button.

Select "Mario Kart" from the game name list and a list of cheats will appear if your Action Replay device has the cheats already preloaded. Highlight the cheat you want to activate and press the "A" button to enable that code. If cheats are not preloaded, select the "Enter New Code" option at the top of your screen and press the "A" button. Use the on-screen keypad to enter in the cheat and cheat description and press the "Start" button to save changes.

Select the "Start Game" option after you have activated the codes you want to use and press the "Start" button to begin playing.
