How to Catch Groudon, Rayquaza and Kyogre in Pokemon HeartGold

Groudon, Rayquaza and Kyogre are legendary Pokemon that appear in several Nintendo DS games. Players must resort to the use of other Pokemon games to acquire these three Pokemon in "Heart Gold." According to Pokedex entries, Groudon fell into a long sleep in magma after a battle against Kyogre, while Kyogre made its bed in a marine trench. Rayquaza dwells in the ozone layer. Enlist a friend's assistance and the use of a second Nintendo DS to capture all three Pokemon.

Instructions

  Insert "Pokemon: SoulSilver" into your Nintendo DS. Acquire your starter Pokemon for "SoulSilver" from Professor Oak in Pallet Town. Defeat the Pokemon trainer Red and travel to Route 30, located in the Johto Region north of Cherrygrove City and southeast of Violet City.

  Speak to Mr. Pokemon on Route 30 to receive the item "Red Orb." Travel to Route 46, also located in the Johto Region. It is east of Route 30 and northwest of New Bark Town. Enter the Embedded Tower along Route 46 and travel to the end of it to discover Groudon, which appears at level 50. Weaken it and use a Pokeball to capture it.

  Enlist a friend's assistance. Both players must have the Pal Pad, obtainable through the Oreburgh City Wi-Fi Club, to trade with each other. Go to the bottom floor of any Pokemon Center and speak to the Wi-Fi Club representative. Answer "Yes" to her questions four times to enter the trade screen. Trade Groudon to your copy of "HeartGold."

  Play "HeartGold" and earn your starter Pokemon from Professor Oak. Beat Pokemon trainer Red. The player talks to Mr. Pokemon along Route 30 to receive the "Blue Orb." Take it to the end of the Embedded Tower to encounter Kyogre at the end of the tower. Weaken and capture Kyogre.

  Visit Professor Oak in Pallet Town once Groudon and Kyogre are both in your copy of "HeartGold." You will receive the item "Jade Orb" from Professor Oak. Go to the Embedded Tower along Route 46 for the third time to encounter Rayquaza at the end of it. Weaken Rayquaza and capture it using a Pokeball.
