Getting new exclusive wallpapers for your Pokemon Platinum used to involve signing up for a membership on a special Japanese website, but as of 2011 there is a much easier way. Instead, you can visit the secret phrase generator website (which is very reliable) and then repeat the random phrase you get to a particular NPC in the game. As of May 2011, there are five exclusive wallpapers; the three starters, a Giratina and the torn world wallpaper. These wallpapers work with Windows versions XP, Vista and 7.

Instructions

  Go to the "Pokemon Secret Phrase Generator" website.

  Input your trainer ID number in the generator box.

  Choose your game version by clicking on the circle next to it on the given list.

  Select the language of your game -- the original wallpaper site only worked with Japanese versions where this one supports all languages.

  Click on the "Send" button to generate your secret code.

  Visit the man in the blue shirt on the third floor of the TV station in Jubilife City. He is the TV producer and will ask you for feedback on the television show. This is where you input your secret phrase.
