How to Beat Pluck the Piranha Flower

In "Super Mario 64 DS," Mario must gather the power of the stars to rescue the Princess from her captor, Bowser. To collect stars, you explore various stages, each accessed when you jump through a painting. In the Tiny-Huge Island stage, your first challenge is "Pluck the Piranha Flower." This stage allows you to grow tiny or large depending on the way it is entered. When Mario grows larger, you are able to reach the platform where the piranha flowers live.

Instructions

- 1
  Jump through the painting on the left side of the room to enter Tiny-Huge Island as large Mario. If you jump through the center painting, you enter the stage as a normal-sized Mario. The painting on the right transforms you into tiny Mario.

  Walk to the left when you enter the stage. Jump across the gaps and then jump up onto the ledge.

  Drop off the ledge into the green pipe below you. Mario is smaller when he comes out of the pipe.

  Walk behind the pipe and cross the land bridge. As you cross, piranha flowers attack you with fireballs.
- 5
  Dodge the fireballs and punch each piranha plant to defeat it. Destroy all five plants and a star appears in front of you. Pick it up to complete this mission.
