How to Rebattle Ho-Oh in Pokemon SoulSilver

When battling legendary Pokemon like Ho-Oh in "Pokemon SoulSilver," it is always a good idea to save just before the battle. This allows you to try the battle again if you fail or accidentally kill the Pokemon without capturing it. For players who made the mistake of not saving, there is still a way to rebattle legendary Pokemon in "SoulSilver." For Ho-Oh to reappear, players must have a rematch against the toughest opponents in the game, then return to where they first battled Ho-Oh.

Instructions

  Travel through the Kanto region (this region is unlocked by beating the Elite Four and Champion the first time) and get all the gym badges. The gym badges are awarded to players that defeat the gym leader in each town and there are eight in total.

  Return to Indigo Plateau (the area where you fought the Elite Four and Champion the first time) and you will find that you are able to battle them all again. This is a much bigger challenge than the first time, since all their Pokemon are now either at higher levels or new and powerful.

  Defeat the Elite Four as well as the Champion, Lance. Return to Ecruteak City and enter the tower where you first battled Ho-Oh. Once you get to the top, you'll find that Ho-Oh has returned, so save your game this time and then rebattle it.
