How Do I Get Absol in Diamond?

In "Pokemon Diamond," dark-type Pokemon, such as Absol, are useful to have on almost any team. Absol has few weaknesses and is even immune to psychic attacks. It also lands critical hits more often than most Pokemon. Absol generally appears only to warn humans of coming disaster, so finding one in the wild is rare. On a random day of each week, though, an Absol swarm appears in the forest. This is your only chance to capture one.

Instructions

- 1
  Go to Sangdem Town and enter the house in front of the Pokemon Center. Speak to the little girl in the house. Each day, she tells you about a different type of Pokemon that is swarming in the forest. The Pokemon that appears is random. Wait for her to tell you that Absol is swarming.

  Head to Pastoria City and go through the eastern exit. Walk to Route 213.

  Walk around in the grass. At random, a Pokemon battle occurs. There is a 40 percent chance that an Absol will appear to fight you.

  Damage the Absol in any way possible. When Absol's HP bar is red, toss a Poke Ball to capture it.
