How to Find All Chaos Emeralds in Sonic Rush

Chaos Emeralds are rare items in the Nintendo DS title "Sonic Rush." Collecting all seven Emeralds unlocks an extra zone for Sonic the Hedgehog and company to play through after the player beats the game. The emeralds are only found in bonus special stages that Sonic enters by collecting objects called Special Generators. These generators, circles with a stars in the middle and handles on each side, are scattered throughout every level.

Instructions

Getting to the Special Stage

  Play through a zone as Sonic and build your tension gauge to at least 105 percent.

  Search each level of every zone for Special Generators.

  Jump up to reach the handle. Hold "X" or "Y" to do a super boost until Sonic warps into the special stage.
Playing the Special Stage

  Move the stylus along the Nintendo DS Touch Screen to direct Sonic across the stage.

  Tap enemies on the screen with your Stylus to defeat them and earn rings.

  Jump into the air with the spring. Use the Stylus to touch numbers on the screen to collect more rings. Collect rings until you reach the number stated on the top Nintendo DS main screen. At that point, you will earn a Chaos Emerald.

  Play the Special Stage in each of the seven zones to earn all seven Chaos Emeralds.
