How to Customize Your Own Naruto Avatar

Naruto is a character in the Japanese comic (manga) that highlights the adventures of Naruto Uzumaki, who strives to be the best ninja in his village. The character became so popular it spread to an animated TV series, novels, movies, music CDs, and video games. As with Japanese artwork, the recognizable style of the characters allow them to be a popular choice for avatars, or online versions of users on social networking sites and e-mail ,among others.

  Decide on a good name. All Naruto characters have a Japanese name and this may require research on your part. Think about the clan you would like your avatar to be part of. Envision how you like the face, eyes, nose or hair to look. Also, think about your characters clothes. These are all elements you should have in mind before creating your character online.

  Visit a Naruto Character Maker website. Many are available online and they all have the basic setup process Click the first tab, which determines the background. An array of color options appears. Click on the color of your choice to add it to the character display. To change the background, click on a new color. If you would like to delete a color, click on the trash can beneath the tabs.

  Scroll through each of the tabs to fine tune different body parts such as nose, eyes, mouth or chin.

  Temporarily save the latest version by clicking on one of the blank squares -- the one with a diskette -- on top of the character display. Click on the "Down" arrow to recall the draft, but this will replace your current display.

  Save your character by clicking on the disk icon beneath the character display. Select "GIF" to save the character in the best possible quality. Click "JPG" to save in the most compact version. It should be compatible with most Internet sites. Click the "eCard" icon to send a copy of your avatar by email.
