How to Find the SSID for a DSi

The Nintendo DSi has wireless capabilities available to its users thanks to its internal Wi-Fi adapter. In order to connect to a wireless network, the device must have the wireless network's service set identifier (SSID) saved within its Internet connection settings. This enables the device to locate and identify the wireless network and then use the saved settings to make a connection. The SSID is set up on the wireless router and is used as a network ID when broadcasting to wireless devices and other networks in the area.

Instructions

    • 1

Press the "Power" button on the Nintendo DSi device. Tap the bottom screen to navigate to the Nintendo main menu.

    • 2

Side-scroll to the "System Settings" icon on the bottom screen. The icon is a picture of a wrench. Tap the icon to enter the system settings.

    • 3

Tap the blue "Right" button twice and tap on the "Internet" button at the end of the bottom screen. If the parental controls screen appears, tap the 4-digit PIN onto the screen and tap the "OK" button. The parental controls will be disabled until you exit the system settings.
