How to Erase Videos From Flipnote for the DSi

Flipnote Studio for the Nintendo DSi and DSi XL allows users to create flipbook-like animations using the Nintendo DSi touch pad and camera. Animations made using Flipnote Studio can be shared with other Nintendo DSi users, uploaded to the Flipnote Hatena website for members of the Hatena online community to view, or exported as animated GIF images for use on websites or in documents. If a Flipnote Studio user isn't happy with an animation he creates, the software also allows animations to be deleted.

Instructions

  Open the Nintendo DSi and turn the system on. Tap the touch screen to accept the "Health and Safety" notice, and then scroll the main menu until you find the "Flipnote Studio" icon with an animated orange frog on it. Tap the icon to launch Flipnote Studio.

  Tap the orange "View Flipnote" button on the left side of the touch screen. When the "View" menu page loads, tap the "Recent Notes" button at the top of the menu list.

  Select the Flipnote animation you want to delete by tapping it. Tap the "Details" button at the bottom of the screen to access the Flipnote details screen. A preview of the animation will be displayed in the top screen of the DSi as well.

  Tap the "Erase" button. A screen will pop up asking if you are sure you want to erase the Flipnote; tap "Yes" to confirm, and then wait while the Flipnote animation is deleted.
