How to Find Gastly

The catch phrase for the Pokemon franchise is "Gotta catch 'em all." Pokemon hunters in America have been searching for the gas Pokemon Gastly since the release of Pokemon Blue/Red for the Nintendo Game Boy in 1998. Gastly is one of the original 150 Pokemon, listed as number 92 in the Pokedex. This Pokemon has been most recently listed as a ghost/poison type Pokemon. Gastly has been featured in a majority of the Pokemon titles and it can be used in all of the games in the franchise. The first step to catching a Gastly is knowing where to look.

  Begin your quest in either Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, FireRed, LeafGreen, Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold or SoulSilver. You will need to put together a party strong enough to progress through the game to get to the places Gastly hides.

  Travel to the area Gastly resides in your game. Gastly can be found in the Pokemon Tower in Red/Blue/Yellow/FireRed/LeafGreen, the Tin or Sprout Towers in Gold/Silver/Crystal/HeartGold/SoulSilver or in the Old Chateau in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum.

  Walk around and battle other Pokemon that appear until a Gastly shows up.

  Ask a friend to trade you a Gastly if you do not have a game that has Gastly naturally appear. You can still use this Pokemon in battle, despite it being uncatchable in your title.
