How to Kill Bessie Bass in the Game Yoshi's Island for the DS

The Bessie Bass boss battle of "Yoshi's Island DS" features a room partly filled with water and three platforms as an additional obstacle in fighting a gigantic fish that takes small and large jumps toward the player's character. The trick to winning is in avoiding Bessie Bass's small jumps and firing eggs into the fearsome fish's mouth. After three solid strikes, the fish goes belly up.

Instructions

  Jump from platform to platform to avoid the boss as it swims by or makes small jumps.

  Watch for Bessie Bass to make a huge leap into the air. The boss makes a fake jump before the leap. Move to the adjacent platform from where the boss leaps.
- 3
  Aim the cursor directly upward. Once the boss is overhead with its mouth open, fire directly into its mouth. After two hits, the pattern changes.
- 4
  Watch for Bessie to make a series of small jumps before the big leap. Get into position and fire directly upward into the boss's mouth again. One more hit defeats the boss.
