Things You'll Need
Instructions
Turn off your Nintendo DSi using the console's "Power" switch.
Open the lid on your Nintendo DSi.
Use a screwdriver to remove all of the screws holding your existing DSi shell together. The number of screws you have to remove depends on the type of shell you are using. Typically this number will be between 6 and 10 screws.
Pull the top part of the shell off of the bottom part. The two pieces will separate. Remove the two pieces of the shell and set them aside.
Place your Nintendo DSi inside the bottom half of your new shell. The shell features a series of joints that allow it to open and close along with the lid of the DSi. Line the lid up with the DSi shell. Place the top half of the shell over the bottom half. This half also features the same joints that allow it to open and close with the lid of the DSi.
Use the screws included with your new shell and the screwdriver to attach the top half of the shell to the bottom half. When both parts of the shell are connected, the shell is properly installed.
