How to Get Past the Officers on Yu-Gi-Oh! Stardust

Getting past the officers in the Security Forces facility in "Yugioh 5D's Stardust Accelerator World Championship 2009" is one of the most difficult and time-consuming parts of the game. You have to navigate past the patrols without getting caught using stealth tactics similar to those used in a "Metal Gear Solid" or "Syphon Filter" game. Getting caught sends you right back to the beginning of the area, so recognizing the patrol patterns and timing your runs is everything in this section.

Instructions

- 1
  Head west from the beginning area. Stop at the vending machine and watch the guard in the recessed area in the wall. Run past him when his back is turned, and go into the door at the end of the corridor. Open the chest to get a card. Backtrack to the beginning area.

  Head north from the beginning area until you get to a locked door. Head west to find an area similar to the first one, but with two guards. Ignore the guard in the recessed area, and watch the one in the corridor. Wait until he is out of sight down the corridor, then walk along the south half of the hall. Walk past him and go into the door. Open the chest to get the Control Room ID Card.

  Run out and let yourself get caught to get back to the beginning area. Head east from here, and use the same strategy you did for the second corridor, with the two guards, to get to the Control Room --- but stay on the north half of the hall instead of the south half. Use computer on the desk here to unlock a storage room. Exit the Control Room.

  Duck behind the plant by the door to the Control Room and wait for the security officer to come down the hallway. Avoid waiting too long, however --- you only have 2 minutes and 30 seconds to get to the storage room before it locks again. Follow him when he turns back, but stay in the south half of the hallway. Get back to the beginning area and run to the north, then head east at the locked door.

  Wait until the security guard patrolling the corridor walks off-screen and the one in the recessed area is not facing the hallway. Run toward the guard in the corridor about two seconds after he is off the screen. If you time this correctly, you can avoid being in the line of sight of the security officer in the second recessed area. Go into the storage room and open the storage containers to retrieve your deck and the access card for the Duel Runner Storage Room.

  Exit the storage room and allow yourself to be caught again to be taken to the beginning area. Head directly north from here to get to the locked door. Use the Duel Runner Storage Room ID Card to open it and retrieve your Duel Runner.
